The Judiaciary Showdown Looms

Today the Trump administration has taken the deportation-without-due-process fight to the Supreme Court. Increasingly the White House is finding itself at odds with a wide variety of court orders. We’re bracing for things to come to a head soon in the White House vs. Judiciary conflict.

Meanwhile, I (David) have started reading Gene Sharp’s “From Dictatorship to Democracy” book. I also ordered a copy of Erica Chenoweth’s “Why Civil Resistance Works” - this book is the source of the “3.5 percent” rule for successful non-violent protests. In addition, as I have time, I’m learning about what’s involved in creating video posts for Instagram and TikTok, which seems to be the fastest way to get eyeballs, channel subscriptions, and maybe a handful of death threats - we’ll see!

The prospect of making these videos also means essentially giving up any anonymity in this project, at least for me. Ces’t la vie.
